Camden, Aug. 30 – The official vote for county officers in Kershaw County is as follows:

Legislature, J. D. Richards, Jr. 1219; M. L. Smith 1726; D. M. Bethune 968; Levi Jones 48. Smith and Richards are elected. Clerk of court, H. E. Beard 134; L. L. Copeland 168; W. A. Schrock 737: Joel Hough 934, Hough and Schrock run over. For sheriff, J. F. Bateman 218; R. B. Williams 665; J. C. Rollings 367; J. S. Trantham 389; L. E. Alford 36; J. F West 244; W. R. Nelson 69. Williams and Trantham run over. Supervisor, J. T. Burdell 274; J. R. Phelps 822; T. V. Parker 348; C. W. McCaskill 521. Phelphs and McCaskill run over. Auditor, P. T. Bruce 1218; W. F. Russell 772, Bruce elected. Treasurer W. R. Hough1,373, D. M. McCaskill 592. Hough elected.

The large vote Smith recieved for the legislature was very flattering.
