Camden, Feb. 25 – Mr. W. B. Alford died very suddenly of apoplexy last night, at his son’s. Mr. L. E. Alford’s, home near Camden. The deceased, who had nearly attained the fine old age of four score years, was a North Carolina by birth, but resided for many years in Marlboro county, and for the last five has lived near Camden. Mr. Alford was a licensed surveyor for the States of North and South Carolina, and followed this profession for over 40 years. The burial was at noon on Wednesday at the Camden cemetery.
