Camden, April 18. -Mr. William D. Boykin passed away Friday night after a short illness, the cause of his death being a severe attack of pneumonia.

The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon at 5 o’clock from the Episcopal church. The services at the church and cemetery were conducted by the Rey. W. B. Gordan. Notwithstanding that heavy rain showers fell throughout the day the funeral, was an unusually large one, being attended by a host of friends and the large number of relatives and connections.

The pallbearers were Messrs. D. R. Williams, Jr. Frank K. Zemp, James Deas, K. G. Whistler, Benjamin Halle, Burwell Boykin, John Whitaker Jr.

The deceased was universally liked by all those who came in contact with him, while to his family his loss in an irreparable one. Mr. Boykin leaves a widow and four small children.
