Prominent Methodist Minister Has Paralytic Stroke While Attending Creighton Case Hearing.

Greenwood, April 11.- Rev. A. J. Stokes, D. D., of the South Carolina conference, who is attending the session of the committee which is investigating the case of the Rev. C. W. Creighton, editor of The Christian Appeal, suffered a paralytic stroke last evening at the session of the committee. Dr. Stokes was removed at once to the home of Rev. M. B. Kelly at the Methodist parsonage, which is on the church lot. Dr. R. B. Epting was summoned and all possible medical aid given him. This morning he is about the same. His condition is regarded as extremely critical. His wife and children were summoned from Allendale and will arrive this afternoon. The entire community is greatly concerned and hopes for Dr. Stokes a speedy recovery.
