Mr. C. D. McDonald, a farmer living on the Bluff Road, north of the State fair grounds, accidentally shot his 15-year-old son this morning. The contents of one barrel of a shotgun entered the lad’s stomach, and the wound is considered very dangerous. The lad had been hunting, it seems, and returned home with the gun. He neglected to remove the shell and place the gun in a corner of one of the rooms. Mr. McDonald came in later in picking up the gun pulled the trigger. The discharge which followed caused the regretted accident related.
