James S “Jimmy” Baker was born in Aug 1845 in Chesterfield, South Carolina, USA a child of Elisha A Baker and Sarah Reeder. 

Bethune, August 17, 1914 – J. S. Baker, a Confederate soldier, who resided a mile or so below town, died suddenly yesterday morning, August 16, 1914, at the residence of his son. Mr. Baker was 69 years of age. He leaves three sons and two daughter, all married. The funeral took place at the Brannon graveyard.
