The funeral of K. G. Sutton, who died at the soldiers’ home Thursday, December 14, 1916 was held at Blaney beside the grave of his wife. Mr. Sutton passed away after an illness of about two weeks. which was due, it is though, to a fall he sustained some time ago but from which he was apparently recovering.

Mr. Sutton was a gallant soldier of the confederacy, entering the cause in 1862. He was a member of Company G. Seventh South Carolina regiment, Hagood’s brigade. He was well liked by his comrades at the home and these share the sorrow of his other friends in his death. He was 91 years of age.
