For Law Observance

The law observance meeting announced to be held at Antioch Baptist church eight miles southeast of Camden, Sunday afternoon, was very well attended notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather. W. Bratton de Loach, of Camden, presided. The main address was made by Hon. T. G. McLeod of Bishopville. The address was a thoughtful and forceful presentation of conditions as they exist, and Mr. McLeod’s audience was well pleased with what he had to say. Mr. de Loach made a few remarks with regard to the object of the law observance campaign which is being made in this county. Several others, including Magistrate G. E. Hinson of Blaney, Rev. D. W. Williams and R. B. Hinson, made a few appropriate remarks . A vote was taken and all present pledged themselves to observe the laws and to use their influence to have others do likewise. The next meeting will be held in Camden the third Sunday in December, at 3 o’clock.
