Greenville, March 14. – Mrs. Elvira Putnam died at the home of her son, Sam Putnam, here Monday morning at the age of 81 years. Mrs. Putnam was one of the oldest residents of the county and well known here. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. P. Goodwin of Greenville, and four sons, Sam P. Putnam, Greenville; Perry Putnam, Fountain Inn; R. D. Putnam, Blaney, and W. M. Putnam, Columbia.

Funeral Services were held at Bethany Baptist church in Laurens county, of which she was a devout member and interment made there.
