Ridgeway, October 6, – Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. DesPortes and William S. DesPortes spent Thursday with relatives in Rock Hill.
The Ladies Guild of St. Stephens Episcopal church met with Mrs. R. C. Thomas on Thursday afternoon. Plans were made for sending a box to the church Home Orphanage at York and also for the clothing the orphan whom the Guild supports.
C. M. Kay is spending the weekend in Honea Path with his brother, George H. Kay.
Miss Helen Coleman, who is teaching near Leeds, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Coleman.
The friends of Mrs. William S. Des Portes will be glad to learn that she is rapidly recovering from a recent operation at Fennell Infirmary, Rock Hill.
Luther Kelley spent the weekend at Blaney with his mother, Mrs. Kate Kelley.
