Court Refuses Motion of Klan

Judge Cochran Denies Demurrer in Thrower Case.

A motion was made before Judge Ernest F. Cochran in federal court yesterday by attorneys for the Ku Klux Klan asking that a demurrer be granted against the national klan. The court refused the motion.

After hearing several other motions, Judge Cochran adjourned the court for the January criminal term. The Government tribunal will begin the civil docket of the Columbia term tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock.
