Absentee Voters May Be Numerous

Ballots to Be Mailed Out Being Distributed — Henry Explains Them

There will probably be a considerable amount of “absentee voting” on Tuesday of next week, the 31st of the first primary, according to Chas. S. Henry, secretary of the Richland county Democratic executive committee.

Ballots for the absentee voters are being distributed now at the courthouse, to the secretaries of the precinct clubs throughout the county. Persons voting by mail, as “absentee voters,” must secure their ballots from their club secretaries, and not from officers of the county and state Democratic committees. The votes are to be mailed to the club secretaries also.

A ballot must be sent by registered letter. The registry cost is 15 cents, the postage 2 cents, making a total postal cost of 17 cents.

There are forty-one Democratic clubs in Richland county. The secretaries are:
