Miss Myrtle Sanders has gone to Aiken to visit her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Sanders.
Mrs. Vernie Brown leaves Monday for Spartanburg, S. C., to visit her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Smith.
Mrs. Dewey Sauls, 1139 Olympia Ave., suffered severe burns last Monday afternoon but is recuperating at her home.
Mr. and Mrs. M. O. J. Kreps, Jr., and son, M. O. J. Kreps, III, leave Sunday for Wilmington Islan, Savannah, Ga, when they will spend two weeks.
Miss Ruth Miller and L. W. Moore were married August 2. Miss Miller for several years has taught in the Olympia grammar school. Mr. Moore until recently was in the grocery business in Columbia.
Mr. and Mrs. Moore will live in Knoxville, Tenn.
Mrs. R. R. Hammond and children have returned from Tryon, N. C.
Miss Minerva Grant leaves Saturday for Cedar Mountain, N. C., for a stay of several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Hamrick and C. P. Hamrick, Jr., have gone to Tryon, N. C., to spend a week with Mrs. W. P. Hamrick. They will visit places of interest in North Carolina and Virginia.
Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Corn are spending the week-end in the mountains of North Carolina.

Miss Mamie Simpson is visiting in Atlanta.
Miss Thelma Dunlap of the Pacific Mills office force is spending a week in Hendersonville, N. C.
Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Snelling and children spent the past week-end in Graniteville, S. C.
Mrs. B. D. Hughes and children have gone to Ninety-Six, S. C., to spend several days with Mrs. A. F. Sherard. They will also go to Hendersonville, N. C., to be guests of Frank Sherard and family during August.
Mrs. Antionette Gardener entertained her Sunday school class with a picnic and swim at Twin Lakes Tuesday evening. Those present were: Misses grace and Eloise Collins, Vivian Cox, Evelyn and Vivian Speigner, Catherine and Eula Mae Hogan, Felicia Hendrix, Janelle Railey, Mae Corley, Louise Trull, Lois Parks, G. W. Parks, and Misses Minerva Grant and Janet Frick and Mrs. S. B. Forsythe.
Troy Baxley, 1127 Olympia Ave. is a patient in the Greenwood hospital. While painting he fell and is now in the hospital with a broken back bone. His mother, Mrs. Baxley is with him.
The Bible class of Broadway Baptist church held a business and social meeting on Tuesday evening. The speaker was J. B. Pratt.
The Mamie Kreps Circle of King’s Daughters met Tuesday evening with Mrs. J. A. Snell.
The Ladies Aid society of Whaley street Methodist church will meet Monday evening with Mrs. Bessie Wilson at her home on Lower St.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Campbell, 1142 Olympia Ave, Have been attending a meeting at Union Baptist church, Blaney, S. C.
Mrs. J. J. Lever was hostess to the Woman’s Missionary society of Whaley Street Methodist church, Monday evening. Mrs. J. V. McNair who was the delegate to the conference in Anderson, S. C., gave a report. The hostess served an ice course to about twenty-five guest.
Mrs. J. A. Warren entertained a number of children Monday afternoon in honor of the seventh birthday of her daughter, Elizabeth. After the games, the hostess served ice cream and cake.
Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Riddle and Mr. and Mrs.Lester Morrell have gone to Edisto on a fishing trip.
Mrs. Bessie Mauney and Miss Odella Mauney of Chester, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mansel Henson.
George Knox has gone to Andrews, S. C., for the week-end.
W. M. Henson is spending several days with relatives in Lugoff.
Miss Ollie Sweenie is expected home Monday after a month spent with relatives in Andrews, S. C.
