State Park. Aug. 6. – Mr. and Mrs. William Ellis. Miss Harling and Mr. Quattlebrum of Columbia were guest of Steve S. Penn during the weekend.

The Rev. Robert S. Truesdale of Rock Hill conducted services here Thursday afternoon. A large and appreciating audience was in attendance.

Miss Artitia Fairy of Columbia was the guest during the week of her brother, Isaac M. Fairy.

The Business Men’s Evangelistic club of Columbia conducted services at the sanatorium Monday evening.

Mr. Slone conducted the devotional and song service. Mr. Dick made the talk, which was enjoyed by a large audience. Messrs. Tatum and Whitten held service in the wards.

Mrs. W. E. Jones spent several days recently with relatives in Greenwood county.

Dr. Leo F. Hall left Saturday for Phipps Institute, Philadelphia, where he will take a special course in tuberculosis.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Leitzsey of Columbia were guests Sunday of their sister, Miss Pearle Leitzsey.

Dr. and Mrs. Enest Cooper, Miss Margaret and Charles and William Cooper spent Tuesday near Charlotte attending a family reunion.

Mrs. Paul G. Walker of Shandon was a visitor to friends here Monday.

Miss Sarah Hutto of Greensboro, N. C., spent several days here during the week with her sister, Miss Lockhart Hutto.

The Fellowship club of the sanatorium held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening. Besides routine matters, the various committees made reports, Which showed steady progress in the club’s affairs.

The next regular meeting will be held September 6 at which time the entertainment committee will be in charge of the program.

Miss Gertrude Jenerette left Tuesday to spend a few days with relatives in Mullins.

Carlyle Price of Lexington spent a short while here with friends during the early part of the week.

Construction of the residence of the assistant superintendent and the addition to the women’s infirmary at the sanatorium are being pushed. Both are expected to be ready for occupancy in less than 90 days.

Ralph E. Cooper was the recent guest of friends in Newberry county.

Mrs. Barney Bradwell and Miss Smith of Sumter were guests during the week of Sam C. Brown.

Mr. and Mrs. Branham and family of Blaney were guest Sunday of Ernest L Branham.

Mrs. Thomas D. Mims of Columbia was a visitor at the sanatorium Monday.

Mrs. Thomas Johnson of Clarendon county was the guest Sunday of T. J. Johnson for a while.

The revival at Pisgah Methodist church closed Friday evening. Large crowds attended the meetings, which were held at 11 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. The Rev. Robert Truesdale of Rock Hill, assisted by the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Tucker, did the preaching, which was greatly enjoyed by those privilege to attend.
