BLANEY MAN HURT

Leroy Thornton Went to Sleep at Wheel.

Leroy Thornton, about 21, was brought to the Baptist hospital early this morning, suffering from injuries received when an automobile in which he was driving alone crashed into a tree along side the road about two miles from Pontiac. While the extent of his injuries had not been determined at 2 o’clock, it was not thought that he was dangerously hurt.

Thornton was brought to the hospital by friends who happened to pass the scene about the time of the accident. He went to sleep at the wheel, it is understood and woke up two late to save his car from plunging into the tree.

Thornton was en route from Columbia to his home in Blaney.
