Organizing Rural Work.

The local committee on rural scouting met last week and sent letters to interested men and leaders in the surrounding communities endeavoring to interest them in scout work and pledging the efforts of the committee in assisting the organization of boy scout troops.

New troops are at Chapin, Lugoff, Bethune and attention is now directed to the districts around Eastover, Blythewood, Blaney, St. Andrews, Dents and Jenkinsville.

The committee on rural scouting is composed of Verd Peterson, chairman, G. Miller Eleazer and J. P. Coats.
