Saluda, Jan. 3. – Miss Eva Sue Etheredge entertained a few of her friends Tuesday evening in honor of her guest, Miss Mabel Woodham of Columbus, Miss. Ping-pong, heart’s dice and bridge were enjoyed until a late hour. The hostess served refreshments.

Thursday evening Miss Eva Sue Etheredge assisted her sister, Miss Isabel Etheredge, in entertaining some of the younger set. After cards and dancing, refreshments were served.

T. E. Dorn, superintendent of education of Greenwood county, and family visited relatives at Saluda during the holidays.

Miss Lucille Heckle of Coker college and brother, N. Heckle of Orangeburg, recently visited friends here.

Misses Martha and Sara Carson of Rosemary, N. C., Miss Miriam Carson of Pageland, Miss Carrie Carson and father, C. C. Carson, of Manning were recent guests in the home of the Rev. and Mrs. H. B. White.

Mr. and Mrs. Dempsy Bens of Augusta are guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Coleman.

Mr. and Mrs. M. M. McCord of Georgetown were holiday visitors.

Mrs. Alva H. Attaway is Attaway is on a visit to her sister, Mrs. W. G. Hazel, at Thomasville, N. C.

Miss Pearl Able of Hastings, Fla., is on a visit to her sister, Mrs. J. E. Zeigler.

Billy Hollowell is on a visit to relatives in Norfolk, Va.

Miss Carolyn Long of Greenwood is visiting relatives.

Miss Mabel Woodman of Columbus, Miss., was a visitor during the holidays in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Etheredge.
