Personal Mention

Mr. and Mrs. James G. Brown, James O. Leary, George G. Cofer and H. H. Rhinemiller of Columbia were recent guests at the Hotel Savannah, Savannah, Ga.

Miss Ethel Latimer of the Columbia city schools has returned from Syracuse university, where she studied for six weeks at the Progressive institute. Going to Syracuse she traveled through the Shenandoah valley and then North and returned by Boston and New York City.

Dr. and Mrs. W. D. Grigsby of Blaney and children have returned from a vacation at Tybee Beach. Their home is in Blaney.

Miss Georgie Witherspoon of Winthrop college is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. S. L. Latimer, 2211 Wheat street.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter P. Boyleston, Jr., are visiting the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter P. Boyleston in Charleston.

Mrs. Holmes Simons is visiting in Aiken. She was an honor guest at a bridge breakfast given last Wednesday morning by Mrs. L. E. Croft at her home in Aiken.

Miss Sabina Kahn was the guest last week of Miss Betty Finkelstein in Aiken.

Mrs. J. O. Culclasure and children have returned after having visited the former’s mother. Mrs. Angie Jackson, in St. Matthews.

Mrs. Fred Barrett, formerly Miss Sada Morrison, of McClellanville and her infant daughter, Phyllis, were recent visitors of Mrs. Carrie Sue Key. Mrs. Barrett and Phyllis were en route to the mountains of North Carolina.

Little Jimmy Black of York is visiting relatives in the city.

Miss Dorothy Kramer has recently returned from a ten-day trip to Washington, D. C. She is now visiting Miss Virginia Livingston at Livingston. From there she will go to Orangeburg and Folly Beach for a few days.

Mrs. N. J. Bouknight is visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Stokely Price, and other relatives in Morristown, Tenn. Before going to Morristown she spent some time with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Bouknight, in Atlanta, Ga.

Miss Marjorie Brown is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lynnwood Gaskin in Orangeburg. She will also go to Folly Beach before returning to Columbia.

Mrs. W. Bedford Moore, Jr., is here from her cottage at Myrtle Beach. Mr. Moore will accopany her back to the beach Friday fro the weekend.

Dr. E. C. L. Adams is planning to spend this weekend at Hog Back Mountain.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowers have returned after spending the last six months in New York City.
