RASMUS W. ABBOTT PASSES SUDDENLY
Blaney Farmer to Be Buried Today at Harmony Baptist Church.
Rasmus W. Abbott, 64, died suddenly at 9 o’clock yesterday morning, March 26, 1932 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. A. Downey, near Blaney.
His death came as a shock to his many friends. He was a farmer and had lived in the community all his life. He had taken an active part in many community affairs.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Cora Wilson and Mrs. Myrtle Outlaw of Columbia, Mrs. Pluma Motley of Winnsboro and Mrs. Dowey, Mrs. Gazell Kelly and Miss Dina Abbott of Blaney; Grover Abbott and Frank Abbott of Blaney; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Rowe of Lugoff and Mrs. Viney Branham of Blaney; three brothers, J. R. Abbott of Columbia, J. G. Abbott of Blaney and J. K. Abbott of Dents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock this morning at Harmony Baptist church, near Blaney, with the Rev. A. L. Willis of Ridgeway in charge. Interment will be in the churchyard.
