Kizer – Jacobs

Of muchinterest to their many friends throughout South Carolina is the marriage Friday, May 12, in Savannah, Ga., of Miss Clara Mae Kizer, attractive daughter of Mrs. E. J. Kizer of Holly Hill, to Horace Tillman Jacobs of Columbia. The couple was married by the Rev. C. D. Boozer at the Baptist parsonage in Savannah in the presence of a few friends. The bride was beautifully attired in a gray dress and accessories to match. Immediately following the ceremony the bride and bridegroom left for a short trip to Tybee Beach and thence to Florida. At present they are living at Pontiac, where Mr. Jacobs has a beautiful home and an extensive farm.

Mrs. Jacobs attended the public schools of Orangeburg county, the Holly Hill school and was graduated in 1930 from Winthrop college. While at Winthrop she starred on the basketball team and was a member of the student government board. Since her graduation she has been teaching school and coaching basketball in Florence county.

Mr. Jacobs is the representative in South Carolina for the Superior Tailoring company of Baltimore, Md.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs are planing a pleasure trip May 27 to Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York.
