Superintendent of Camp Blaney Tells of Activities, Benefits.
R. A. Conard, superintendent of the C. C. C. Camp Hilton at Blaney addressed the Rotary club at its luncheon yesterday at the Jefferson hotel.
He related the camp activities, pointing out that the army was in control of habilitation and the forestry service of the work; that there was military discipline but no military training.
He added that the boys were interested in their work building fire lines, roads, bridges and fulfilling other assignments and that had gained an average of 12 pounds to the man.
J. E. Timberlake, president of the club, presided and the Rev. N. A. Murphy, who had charge of the program, introduced the speaker.
