CAMDEN, September 10. – Mrs. S. W. Vanlandingham was hostess to the Neighborhood Bridge club Wednesday, Mrs. Henry Beard, Mrs. Louise Cantey and Mrs. B. C. Brasington, of Pau Creek, North Carolina, sister of the hostess were invited to play with members.
Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Smith, Jr., gave a buffet supper for 30 guests Friday evening, honoring Lieut. Herbert Taylor of Washington, D. C., Mr and Mrs. Willis Boykin entertained in their honor Saturday evening at their home near Boykins.
Miss Caroline Richardson visited Miss Alice Mikell in Columbia this week.
Mrs. T. J. Kirkland and daughter, Miss Lucy Kirkland left this week by motor to visit friends in North.
Mrs. W. J. Dunn left Thursday for New York to visit her son, Dr. Clarence A. Dunn and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Savage and daughter, Miss Florence Savage, are enjoying a stay at Edisto Island.
Mrs. Thornwell Hay entertained Tuesday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Sanders of Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Camden Rotary club held its weekly meeting Thursday at the C C camp at Blaney, Supper preceded the metting.
The American Legion auxiliary met Friday at the Legion hall. Mrs. Alfred McLeod, newly elected president, was in the chair.
