Frederick Barsh Passes Suddenly

Colombia World War Veteran Dies at Camp Near Blaney. Funeral Tomorrow.

Frederick Washington Barsh, 46, of 502 Calhoun street, died at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the government’s veterans camp near Blaney. He was ill only a few hours.

Mr. Barsh was lifelong resident of Columbia and had a host of friends who are grieved by his sudden passing.

He is survived by three daughters, Margaret Barsh, Elizabeth Barsh, and Evelyn Barsh; one son John David Barsh of Rock Hill; one sister, Mrs. Addie Champey of Columbia, and one brother, Edward F. Barsh of Charleston.

Funeral services will be held at 4 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, April 9, 1935 at Park Street Baptist church with the Rev. Paul Wheeler in charge. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery. The body will remain at the home of Mrs. Champey. 502 Calhoun street, until time for the services.
