Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gambrell and family of Charleston spent the past weekend with Mrs. Gambrell’s sister, Mrs. Will Riddle. The two families spent Labor day at Ware Shoals.
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Bradford and family moved to Gastonia, N. C., Monday, where they will make their home.
W. H. Oxner and daughter, Elaine, of Charleston visited at the home of Mrs. Ethel Meetze Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Robertson, formerly of Atlanta, Ga., have moved here to make their home, Mrs. Robertson will be remembered as Miss Mary Lou Merchant.
Miss Lorrain Bachman left Monday morning for Rock Hill, where she will enter Wintrop college.

Miss Mary Sue Oxner has gone to Charleston, where she will go in training at the Roper hospital.
Mrs. L. S. Trotti and Mrs. J. W. Wessinger were joint hostesses to the Brookland-Cayce American Legion auxiliary Tuesday evening at their home.
The rooms were thrown en suite and made attractive with fall cut flowers.
The principal business of the meeting was installation of officers. Mrs. N. C. Raynor, past president, acted as installing officer and the following offices were installed for the ensuing year: Mrs. J. W. Wessinger, president: Mrs. L. S. Trotti, vice president: Mrs. W. D. Addy, secretary; Mrs. R. H. Fulmer, treasurer: Mrs. M. H. Boyd, historian; Mrs. W. J. Turberville, chaplain; Mrs. C. M. Holiday, sergeant-at-arms. During the social hour the hostess, assisted by Miss Doris Sox, served a salad course. There was a good attendance.

Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Raynor attended the little world series baseball game between Los Angeles and Spartanburg at Spartanburg last Saturday.
