The Homemakers Sunday school class of the Baptist church, with the president, Mrs. C. B. Harrison, Presiding, held their monthly business and social meeting in their classroom Friday night. Mrs. J. L. Kirkland conducted the devotional. Group No. 1, of which Mrs. Fred Ellisor is captain, was hostess. After the business, the meeting was turned into a surprise birthday party in honor of their president, Mrs. Harrison. A program of songs and music was given by Misses Louise and Frankie Cannon and Misses Willie Mae and Ida Laura Wise. Mrs. Ellisor presented Mrs. Harrison with a number of lovely gifts and delicious refreshments were served. The following members and visitors were present: Mrs. J. P. Butler, Mrs. B. A.
