Mrs. Nancy Lula Miles, 70, died last night, August 9, 1939 at the Columbia hospital after an illness of two weeks.
She was a native of Fairfield county. For the past 11 years she had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. O. L. Yandle, 920 Ninth street, Olympia. She had been a member of the Winnsboro Methodist church for the past 40 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. O. L. Yandle of Columbia, and Mrs. H. C. Belk of Winnsboro; one son, G. E. Miles of Winter Garden, Fla.: four sisters, Mrs. M. H. Allen, Mrs. J. W. Parks and Mrs. G. M. Yandle, all of Columbia, and Mrs. L. W. Mattox of Ridgeway; three brothers, H. D. Cooper of Columbia, W. J. Cooper of State Park and C. P. Cooper of Spartanburg; one uncle, J. P. Kelly of Blaney; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning, August 11, 1939 at 11 o’clock from Smyrna Methodist church near Blaney, by the Rev. J. C. Cunningham, pastor. Interment will be in the churchyard.
Active pallbearers will be J. T. Allen, T. W. Allen, F. O. Allen, R. F. Allen, R. O. Yandel and W. W. Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Yandle, Earl Belk, Baril Belk, Clyde Belk, James Belk and Frank Belk.
