Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Warris and son Charles Harris, spent two weeks visiting in Asheville, N. C., Knoxville, Tenn., the Great Smoky mountains and different parts of Georgia.

Mrs. Daisy Harris will return to her home Sunday from Washington, Ga, where she has been visiting for a month. She will be accompanied home by Mrs. Frank Cooper and son, Henry, who will spend the day with her.

Mrs. Ed Vause of Kingstree was the guest of Mrs. Reid Atkinson at her home on Earlewood avenue Thursday.

Miss Nannie Ree Livingston is spending the weekend with her parents in Prosperity.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bishop of Charleston spent the week visiting Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Krantz and Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Eargle.

Mrs. Ethel Padgett and daughter, Carrie Mae Padgett, have returned to their home in Spartanburg after visiting her mother, Mrs. Carrie Eargle.

Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Epting spent a week visiting in Ridgecrest, the Smoky mountains and various other places in North Carolina, recently.

Miss Floride Grigsby and Owens Grigsby of Blaney will spend Sunday with their sister, Mrs. W. O. Epting.

Edward Lail, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Lail, left Thursday for Greenville, where he was enter the freshman class at Furman univeristy.

Mrs. G. P. Botts from Dothan, Ala., has returned to her home, after a visit to her mother, Mrs. D. E. Ballentine.

Mrs. J. H. Addy spent Thursday with her parents in Chapin.

Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Gause of Florence visited the latter’s mother, Mrs. C. O. Guy. Murphy Wessinger, who had been them, accompanied them home.

C. Napoleon of 2922 River drive left Saturday for a business trip to Niagara Falls and New York City, returning within a week.

The many friends of Mrs. F. E. Folk will regret to know that she is ill at her home, 2829 River drive.

Miss Ruby Richardson has returned home after a visit to Mis Frances Williams and Miss Carolyn Williams at Florence.

Herman Betenbaugh of Winnsboro was a recent visitor to friends in North Columbia.

Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Lee and Daughter, Etta Geraldine, visited Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Sharpe at Gaston Sunday. They were accompanied on the trip by Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Yarborough and daughter, Louise Yarborough, Nadine Yarborough and Marjorie Yarborough of West Columbia.

The friends of Mrs. Evelyn Spencer will regret to learn that she is a patient at the Columbia hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Hair and daughter, Miss Louise Hair, have returned to their home, 2248 Marion street, after spending the summer at their summer home at Ridgecrest, N. C.

Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Richardson and children, Miss Ruby Richardson and Billy Richardson, spent the past Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Obenshain at Great Falls.

Mrs. Edna Milan is improving at the Columbia hospital, where she underwent an operation.

Recent guest of Mr. and Mrs. Joe A. Koon were Mr. and Mrs. Alton Black of Spartanburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Derrick and children spent the past weekend motoring through the mountains of North Carolina the Smoky mountains in Tennessee.

Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Derrick and family have moved from 2210 Main street to 720 Calhoun street.

Miss Ruby Still is visiting her sister, Mrs. E. L. Kirby, at Sumter.

Mrs. Josie Koon of Chapin, visited in North Carolina last Sunday.

Mrs. Grace Derrick is improving after an illness at her home.

Miss Ellen Cannon of Spartanburg spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Luther Cannon on Elmwood avenue.

Mrs. A. L. Pate and children have returned to their home, 2210 Park street, after a visit to Mrs. Pate’s parents at Chester.

Miss Margaret Buchanan and Miss Sarah Spratt of Greenwood spent the past weekend with Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Nunamaker at 1105 Price avenue.

Miss Louise Fouche and Miss Margaret Fouche recently visited Mrs. P. E. Thomas in Aiken.

Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Mobley had as their guest Tuesday, Mrs. Mobley’s parents, Mr. and Mrs.E. J. Hite and daughter, Miss Helen Hite, of Batesburg.

Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Aldridge of Raleigh, N. C., Mrs. E. C. Aldridge and son, E. C. Aldridge, Jr., amd Miss Hazel Radford, all of Houston, Texas, were recent guest of Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Aldridge at their home on Second street.

Mrs. J. G. Lunsford of Marion is visiting her daughter, Miss Dorothy Young, this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Elliott visited in Newberry Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. O. V. Taylor motored to Augusta, Ga., Friday.

Conrad Richardson has returned to his home on Third street after a visit to his brother, Dowell (“Red”) Richardson at Point Pleasant, N. J. Dowell Richardson is playing with the Everett Hogland orchestra, which has been at Point Pleasant all summer, but is leaving for Cleveland, Ohio, for the winter.

Miss Frances Henderson of Washington spent several days last week visiting relatives here before going to Newberry college to resume her studies.
