Mary Louise Byer will be the guest of her parent in Elloree this weekend.

Floyd Holland will be the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Holland in Newberry.

Sara Elizabeth Martin will spend the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Martin of Swansea.

Nina Rose will spend the weekend in Blaney.

Iva Lee Wilkinson will be the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Wilkinson of Ulmers.

Thelma Dowey will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Dowey of Blaney.

Irene Wessinger will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Wessinger of Newberry.

Irene King will visit her father, J. H. King of Summerton.

Vernon Lee will be the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Gaylord of Dalzell.

Dr. R. C. McQuilkin, president of Columbia Bible College, was the speaker at the college Friday morning. His talk was very inspiring. His message was based on John 14, the three questions asked Jesus the night before he was crucified. With Doctor McQuilkin was five students of the Bible college. Each gave a short testimony. The mixed quartet sang selections with a message in each. There were several invited guests.

Those recently passing shorthand tests were: 100-word. Gaynelle Sealey, Mrs. Clay and Mae Duffie, 80-word; Lucyle Burnes, Vera Barnes and Faye Warner, 60-word, Faye Warner, Virginia Davis, Martha Livingston, Opal Harper, Ernestine Amick, Lucile Smoak, Vallerie Brown and Aliene Amick.

Aiken Croxton, now holding a responsible position in Kershaw, was a visitor in the school last Thursday.

Fred Fletcher, a former graduate, visited friends in the school last Wednesday.

Gene Adams, having successfully passed the civil service test, has accepted a government position in Washington, and will begin her duties Monday morning.

Gaston Sealey has accepted a position with a local firm.

Claude C. Chester also accepted a position with a local organization last week.

H. M. Gibbs of Wagner visited his daughter, Laura, at the college last Wednesday.

Gaynelle Sealey, after completing the general business course, was awarded her diploma Friday of last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Parker of Camden visited their daughter, Lavada, at the college office last Monday.
