Hattie L Dial was born May 2, 1877 in Richland County, South Carolina.

Mrs. Hattie L Dial, 65, died early this morning, September 16, 1942, at her home on Percival road, about ten miles from Columbia, after an illness of two weeks.

She was the wife of A. D. Dial, and had lived in the county her entire life.

Funeral services will be at Macedonia Baptist church, of which she was a member, at 4 o’clock Thursday, conducted by the Rev. C. M. Joye, pastor. Interment will be in the churchyard.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Miss Chessie Dial; three sons, Gilbert Dial, Maxie Dail, and A. D. Dial Jr., all of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Roberts of Blaney, and nine half-brothers, Hozie Lee, Albert Lee, Walter Lee, John Lee, Maxie Lee, Ernest Lee, Hazel Lee, George Lee, and Daniel Lee, all of Columbia.
