Baron DeKalb Trapp was born February 14, 1868 in Kershaw county, South Carolina, son of John Thomas Trapp and Hester Ann Reynolds Trapp.

The funeral for Baron DeKalb Trapp, 75, who died Wednesday, August 4, 1943 at his home here after a ten months illness, was to be held at 4 p.m. today, August 5, 1943 from the first Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. J. B. Caston. Interment was to follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Trapp, son of the late John Trapp and Hester Reynolds Trapp, was a well known merchant and business man.

His first marriage was to Miss Elizabeth Sinner of Sumter, who died many years ago. One daughter survives by this marriage, Mrs. V. H. Sinclair of Camden, also two grandchildren, Miss Elizabeth Sinclair of Camden and Mrs. Laurence Thompson, Jr., of Columbus, Ga. His second marriage was to Miss Leona Hornsby of Blaney who survives.
