Services for Mrs. Mamie Davis McLendon, 90, who died, August 13, 1943 at the home of her step-son, J. D. McLendon at 3007 Gadsden street, will be conducted from McCormick’s Mortuary Sunday, August 15, 1943 at 3 p.m. by the Rev. L. M. Kirkland assisted by the Rev. Robert Cochran. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Churchyard, near Blaney.

A member of Park Street Baptist Church, Mrs. McLendon had made her home with her stepson, for the past 12 years.

Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. J. T. Coates of Columbia and Mrs. W. C. Wolfe of Charleston; two step-sons, J. D. McLendon of Columbia and H. C. McLendon of Congaree.

Pall bearers will be W. T. Campbell, H. H. Ross, B. A. Meetze, G. A. Christmus, J. H. Smoak and Aubrey Preister.
