The condition of H. A. Meetze of 1231 Confederate avenue, a barber at the Jerome hotel barber shop for the last 20 years and well known here, remained unchanged last night at the Columbia hospital.

Mr. Meetze was seriously injured Saturday Night at the intersection of Lady and Assembly streets when struck by an automobile driven by Jack Bowen, 64, of Blaney, according to police.

Although his skull was fractured at the base, Mr. Meetze was semi-conscious yesterday and recognized members of his family.
