Cayce, Nov. 28 – Miss Eunice Byrd visited relatives in Walterboro Thanksgiving day.

Mrs. W. A. Harley of Woodford spent last week with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Wingard.

Lieut. McAdoo Williams of Sebring, Fla., was a recent guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Williams.

Mrs. W. P. Langford and son, Danny, of Spartanburg, Mrs. W. D. Langford of Woodruff and Miss Annie Langford of Columbia were the guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Harrill.

Mr. and Mrs. George Jeffcoat and son, Eddie, spent the past week with Mr. and Mrs. William Jeffcoat in Savannah, Ga.

J. B. Batchlor of the Charleston navy yard spent last weekend with his family.

Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Brown left Thursday for a few days’ visit with relatives in Oaltewah, Tenn., also to attend the funeral of Mrs. Brown’s aunt.

Charles C. Kirby, foster son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Brown, left Tuesday for Cleveland, Ohio, where he will be inducted into the army.

Mrs. C. H. McAllen and daughter, Peggy, have returned home after spending several days the past week with relatives and friends in Salisbury, N. C.

Mrs. E. M. Kirkland and sons, Edward, Kirkland, Jr., and Gene Kirkland, spent Thanksgiving day at Livingston.

Miss Virginia Shuman, nurse at the Baptist hospital, is spending Sunday at the home of Mrs. E. F. Autry.

Miss Lola Sartor spent Thursday visiting Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Thompson in Columbia.

Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Coggins and children, Dewy and Harold, spent last Sunday visiting relatives in St. Matthews.

Mrs. John E. Farmer spent last weekend with her husband, Corporal Farmer, in Atlanta, Ga.

The Junior Girls’ auxiliary of the Cayce Baptist church held a meeting at the home of Mildred Hughes. Mrs. C. L. Hughes, leader, gave the devotional. The topic for the month was, “Call a Doctor for the World.” and it was presented by Mary Ann Hill, Betty Jo Medders, Shirley Stillinger, Patsy Reed, Mildred Hughe, Evangeline Byrd, Gothedon Holly, Marjorie Spires, Ethel Williams, Gerolyn Griffin, Jacqueline Jumper, Rosa Lee Medders, Elizabeth Ann Addy, Betty Goodwin, Mary Ellen Darnell and Patsy Kaminer. The hostess served refreshments.

Mrs. Ruth Houston spent Thanksgiving day with Mrs. W. H. Sellers and friends from Washington, D. C., on the Charleston highway.

Miss Betty Jean Sowell visited her sister, Miss Ann Sowell, in Camden last weekend.

Mrs. and Mrs. James McEntire of Camden spent last weekend with friends and relatives in Columbia, West Columbia, and Cayce.

Miss Myrtle Wofford spent the Thanksgiving holidays with Miss Bernice Johnson in Clinton.

Mrs. A. E. Belch, accompanied by her guest, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Johnson of Blaney, visited Mrs. J. F. Burton in North Sunday.

Lieut. Frank Lochocki spent a few days last week at Shreveport, La.

Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Westbury and Miss Lizzie Wilson of Harleyville were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. McKellar Sunday.
