Appointments Of AME Church Are Announced

Lexington, Nov. 6. – Approximately 2,000 persons from Winnsboro, Columbia, Newberry, and other places attended the final session of the Columbia AME conference.

The Rev. A. B. King, who was conference superintendent, announced that $329.90 had been raised in the Sunday school, which was said to be the largest amount for any Sunday school in the series of conferences.

Dr. S. R. Higgins, president of Allen university, presented Bishop Frank Madison Reed, who preached from the text, “You are not your own, but ye are bought with a price.”

The Rev. H. I. Smith of Prosperity was transferred to Unionville Church in the Northeast Conference.
