Levi Mattox
Levi Mattox, 76, of Ridgeway, died at 9 o’clock last night after an illness of two year.
Was a member of the Sawneys Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Levi Mattox; three sons, Thomas Mattox, L. J. Mattox, and Edward Mattox, all of Ridgeway; three daughters, Alberta Branham and Daisy Branham of Ridgeway, and Fannie Bradley of Lancaster; 22 grand children and 13 great grandchildren; one brother, John Mattox, and one sister, Annie Hall of Winnsboro.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 this afternoon from the Smyrna church by the Reverend John Atkerson, assisted by the Reverend Mr. Marlowe.
Active pallbearers will be J. P. Cooper, Carl Cooper, John Henry Mattox, Nick Peake, Shellie Peake, and Raymond Yandle.
Honorary pallbearers will be D. W. Roof, T. J. Castine, Dr. R. A. Pringle, Frank Perry, Robert Boliek and P. R. Scott.
