Miss Jacobs Complimented

Tuesday evening, February 10, Miss Elise Jacobs, was given a lovely surprise party by her sister, Mrs. Melvin LeGrand (Earline Jacobs), at her home on Ferrell Drive, West Bayview, in celebration of her twenty-first birthday.

A color scheme of red and white was used to carry out the Valentine motif. Many games were enjoyed during the evening, prize winners being Patsy Jacobs and Alma LeGrand. The beautifully decorated table was covered with a Valentine cloth. The lovely birthday cake held 21 lighted candles. Sandwiches, cake, punch and Valentine candy were served. The honor guest received many lovely gifts.

Those present, besides the honor guest, were: Miss Annette Coleman, Miss Milwee Medlin, Miss Wyona Hornsby, Melvin, Alvin and Marvin LeGrand, Misses Myrtis and Patsy Jacobs, Frank Jacobs, Miss Edith Hornsby, Bill Jeffers, Robert Amick, Charlie Sloan, Misses Lucille and Blondell Faust, Mike Easler, Miss Gwendolyn Ellisor and Miss Ellen Ree Tidwell. The honor guest’s mother, Mrs. Earl Jacobs, also attended.
