The United States Civil Service commission has announced open competitive examination for probational appointment to the position of substitute clerk at many third class post office is in South Carolina.

Applicants must actually reside within the delivery of the post office named or be bona fide patrons of such offices. Persons employee in the post office will be considered bona fide patrons of the office. The pay for substitute clerks at third class post office is $1.04 per hour.

The examination will be held February 5 for positions in each of the towns listed below;

Calhoun Falls, Due West, Salley, Warrenville, Dubarton, Olar, Burton, Frogmore, Port Royal, Blenheim, Clio, Gilbert, Monetta, Ridge Springs, Blaney, Blythewood, Chapin, Cayce, Hopkins, Irmo, State Park, Central, Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, Meggett, Myers, Ravenels, Yonges Island, Patrick, Society Hill, Lochart, Richburg.

Also, Mt. Croghan, Little Rock, Owings, Gray Court, Hyman, Bath, Langley, Brunson, Varnville, Trenton, Greeleyville, Lane, Salters Depot, Cades, Duncan, Heath Springs, Bonneau, Nichols, Prosperity, Bowman, Cameron, Elloree, Norway, Neeses, Smoaks, Tillman, Yemasee, Cowpens, Clifton, Drayton.
