HENRY TALLEY PEAK
Winnsboro, Feb. 12 – (Special) – Henry Talley Peake, 78, died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Issaic Hall, in Winnsboro, after a lingering illness. He was born and reared in Ridgeway but have lived in Winnsboro for 38 years.
Mr. Peake is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Peake; two daughters, Mrs. Ike Hall and Mrs. J. D. Robinson of Winnsboro; one son, Thomas Peake of the United States army, stationed at Fort Benning, Ga; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wylie Peake, Columbia, Charnell Peake, Blaney, and Frank Peake Cayce; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Moore of Columbia, Mrs. Charlotte Milton of Augusta, Ga. and Mrs. Mamie Mattox of Ridgeway.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o’clock Monday afternoon from the Stephen Green Memorial Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. J. I. McGill and the Rev. J. H. Ellenburg. Interment will be in the Winnsboro Mills cemetery.
