Clifton Wilson Of Richland County Dies

Clifton Henry Wilson, 75, a lifelong resident of Richland and Kershaw county died yesterday at the Veterans hospital.

Mr. Wilson was born September 14, 1875 in Richland county, a son of Henry Calhoun Wilson and Mary Louisa Watts Wilson.

His survivors include his widow, Cora B. Wilson; three sons, Curtis Wilson of Ridgeway, Herbert Wilson and Elmer Wilson of Blaney; two brothers, C. D. Wilson and G. C. Wilson of Blythewood; two sisters, Mrs. C. H. Dodson of Blythewood and Mrs. S. B. DuBose of Bishopville. Six grandchildren also survive.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3 o’clock this afternoon from the Zion Methodist church with the Rev. L. D. Hamer officiating assisted by the Rev. Mr. Partridge of Blaney.

Active pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the funeral home at 2:30 this afternoon will be John L. Stockman, Earl Stockman, Murdick Branham, Grover Branham, Marvin Peak and “Ross” Boulware.

Honorary pallbearers will be D. W. Atkerson, Maxie Butler, Walter Butler, Talmage Branham, Henry Cook, Ira Stockman, Sam Brown, Jim Hines, Hiram Allen, W. P. Cooper, Marion Coker, Leonard Kelley, John Paschal and J. D. Bailey.
