Mr. Miles, a building contractor was born in Kershaw county, but had made his home in Columbia since his early childhood.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cynthia Glover Miles; two daughter, Mrs.J. W. Goodwin and Mrs. W. T. Blackwell, both of Columbia; three sons, Alfred M Miles of Spartanburg, Woodrow F. Miles and Melvin Miels, both of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Ida Brazzell of Columbia; two brothers, A. D. Miles and J. M. Miles, both of Columbia; and 13 grandchildren.

Frank L. Miles, 64, of 3216 Lyles street, North Columbia, died at 11:30 Monday morning at his home after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Miles, a building contractor was born in Kershaw county, but had made his home in Columbia since his early childhood.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cynthia Glover Miles; two daughter, Mrs.J. W. Goodwin and Mrs. W. T. Blackwell, both of Columbia; three sons, Alfred M Miles of Spartanburg, Woodrow F. Miles and Melvin Miels, both of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Ida Brazzell of Columbia; two brothers, A. D. Miles and J. M. Miles, both of Columbia; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clcok this afternoon from the Thompson Funeral home. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Earl M Vogles. Interment will be in the Union Baptist church yard, at Blaney.
Active pallbearers will be Osborne Brazzell, Ennis Miles, Zed Miles, Thomas Miles, Ernest Miles, and Arthur Miles.
