Miss Barbara Ann Higbe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter Higby of Columbia, was married to James G. McLendon of Columbia, formerly of Winnsboro, in a double ring ceremony Saturday evening, September 9, at the home of the Rev. Charles E. Edwards, pastor of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian church of Columbia.

Mr. McLendon is the son of Mrs. Ola McLendon of Winnsboro and the late Tilman McLendon of Blaney. After the ceremony the bride’s parents entertained the immediate family and a few close friends at a wedding supper. The couple are making their home with the bride’s parents for the present.
