The Louise Bell circle of the Cayce Methodist Church held it monthly meeting Thursday afternoon with Mrs. J. C. Crosby on State street. The leader, Mrs. B. B. McEntire, called the meeting to order and gave the call to worship. The topic of the program was “His Spirt In Us For Them,” and it was presented by Mrs. J. C. Crosby, Mrs. C. C. Byrd and Mrs. B. B. McEntire, Mrs. McEntire closed the program with prayer. A short business session was held, after which the meeting was dismissed with prayer. The hostess, Mrs. Crosby, served delicious refreshments to Mrs. T. C. Backman, Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. A. D. Spires, Mrs. C. R. Vaughn, Mrs. B. B. McEntire, Mrs. C. C. Byrd and two visitors, Mrs. Harry Shirley and the daughter, Patsy.
The Fidellis Sunday school class of the State street baptist church held its monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. D. L. Faust, 720 L. Avenue. The meeting opened with the singing of the class song, “Blessed Redeemer.” Mrs. S. O. Hoffman brought the devotional and offered prayer followed by a duet, ” The Lord is My Shepherd,” by Mrs. S. O. Hoffman and Mrs. J H. Price. The business session was presided over by the presidents. Mrs. W. S. Dunlap. Reports of various committees were given. The meeting was closed with a chain of Prayers. The hostess, Mrs. Faust, assisted by Mrs. C. E. Burkett, served delicious refreshments to the following members: Mrs. R. D. Bumgardner, Mrs. O. B. Sewart, Mrs. F. E. Reynolds, Mrs. L. E. The Amanda Craps circle of the Cayce Methodist church held its monthly meeting Thursday afternoon with Mrs. M. H. Boyd on Axtel drive, Mrs. A. B. Rozier, assistant leader, called the meeting to order and gave the call to worship. The hymm, “We’ve a Story to Tell to The Nations.” was read in unison, followed by prayer by Mrs. Rozier. The topic of the program was, “His Spirit in Us For Them,’ and it was presented by Mrs. Rozier, Mrs. J. M. Vaiden and Mrs. J. A. Weaver. “Christian Stewardship,” was read in unison, followed by a closing prayer by Mrs. Vaiden. Mrs. Vaiden, leader, conducted the business session. Minutes were read and reports given. After a short discussion the meeting was closed with the Lord’s Prayer. Mrs. M. H. Boyd, hostess, served a sweet course and coffee to the following: Mrs. W. A. Thomas, Mrs. T. E. Tallon, Mrs. A. B. Rozier, Mrs. T. M. Vaiden, Mrs. E. G. Cayce, Mrs. Leila Manuel, Mrs. J. A. Weaver, mrs. S. Lybrand and Mrs. H. E. Addy.
