Sgt. Marion L. Coker On Korean Front Lines

With the 7th Infantry Division in Korea – Sgt. Marion L. Coker, whose wife, Mary, lives on Route 75, Columbia, S. C., is serving with the 7th Infantry division in the front lines of Korea.

The division, now attacking Communist positions in rugged mountain terrain above the 38th parallel, is a veteran unit of the war and has been in Korea more than a year.

It participated in the initial liberation of Seoul and the drive to the Manchurian border.

Sergeant Coker, a wireman in Heavy Mortar company, entered the Army September 6, 1946. He arrived in Korea October 29, 1951. He attended Blaney high school.
