Miss LeNeve Thomas, whose wedding to Jennings Bryan Grainger will be an event of Saturday, Feb. 21, is being honored with a number of parties. . . . Among them are: A dinner party given on Jan. 31 by Mr. and Mrs. T. B. King, and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Reames at the home of Mrs. King’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McCarley, on Exmoor Rd . . . Feb. 3, the Young Woman Auxiliaries of the First Baptist Church presented the bride-elect with a white Bible and miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. E. B. Turner and her daughter, Betty Lee, on Glenwood Dr. . . . Feb. 6, Mrs. W. A. Smyrl entertained at a towel shower at her home in the Virginia Court Apts., and on Feb. 7, Miss Joan Gavden and Miss Eliza Herndon entertained at a linen shower at the home of the latter on Maple St. Feb. 10, Miss Beverly Taylor and Miss Mary Ann Roberts entertained at a kitchen shower at the home of the latter on Blossom St. . . . On Feb. 12, Miss Romesa Jaco, cousin of the bride-elect, and Mrs. Doyle Jaco and Mrs. B. W. Poston, aunts of the bride-elect, entertained at an everyday china shower at the home of Mrs. Poston on Hancock St. . . . Mrs. Cora Harvey, aunt of the bride-elect, and Misses Mary and Betty Harvey, her cousins, will entertain at a drop-in at the home of Miss Thomas on South Pickens St. . . . The rehearsal party will be given by Mr. and Mrs. Horace T. Jacobs (Clara Mae Jacobs) at their home on Beltline Blvd. on Feb. 20, and the wedding reception will follow the ceremony at the Baptist Students Center, 1618 Pendleton St., and will be given by Miss Jennie Thomas, aunt of the bride.
