Pre-Nuptial Parties For Miss Thomas

Mary LeNeve Thomas is being honored with many lovely parties pior to her marriage to Jennings Bryan Grainger on February 21 in the First Baptist Church. Those who have entertained for her are Mr. and Mrs. T. B. King and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Reames, who gave a dinner party January 31 at her home of Mrs. King’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McCarley, on Exmoor Road; Young Women’s Auxiliary of the First Baptist Church, miscellaneous shower February 3 at the home of Mrs. E. B. Turner and her daughter, Betty Lee, on Glenwood Road; Mrs. W. A. Smyrl, towel shower February 6 at her home in the Virginia Court Apartments; Joan Gayden and Eliza Herndon, lien shower February 7, at the home of the latter on Maple Street; Beverly Taylor and Mary Ann Roberts, kitchen shower February 10 at the home of the latter on Blossom Street; Romesa Jaco, Mrs. Doyle Jaco and Mrs. B. W. Poston, cousin and aunts fo the bride-elect, everyday china shower February 12 at the home of Mrs. Poston on Hancock Street. Other parties planned include a drop-in February 19 by Mrs. Cora Harvey and Mary and Betty Harvey, aunt and cousins of the bride-elect, at the home of the bride-to-be on South Pickens Street; rehearsal party February 20 by Mr. and Mrs. Horace T. Jacobs (Clara Mae Jacobs) at their home on Beltline Boulevard, and bridesmaids luncheon February 21 by Mrs. Leila Sandford and Betty Jean Sanford at their home on Hollywood Court.
