CAMDEN, Sept. 3 (Special) – The Camden City Schools, operating under the same conditions as heretofore, will open next Tuesday morning for another session. An increased enrollment is expected.
An addition has been built to the Camden Junior High School and much work has been done on the grounds of the Grammar and Junior High Schools.
By the end of next week all of the schools in the county, with the exception of Pisgah School, will be in session. The Pisgah school has a summer session and closes for crop-gathering time, reopening in October.
There are two new superintendents in the county schools. C. C. Jackson has become superintendent of the Antioch school and Edward W. Shingler of the Blaney schools.
A last-minute vacancy in the school system was created by the death of P. D. Baird, principal of the Pine Tree High School. Supt. Richards has announced that W. J. Hoffman, who has been a teacher in the school, will serve as acting principal.
