State treasurer Jeff B. Bates today announced semi-annual distribution of $316,049 to cities and towns in South Carolina as their share of motor vehicle license fee. The distributions are made on a population basis with no county see receiving less than $1,000 or more than $5,000.

County states distribution included: Columbia, Orangeburg, Charleston, Greenville, Florence and Spartanburg, $5,000 each, and Lexington, $1,000.

Other towns: Forest Acres, $2,267; Blaney, $128: Batesburg, $2217; Cayce, 3,772; Chapin, $228; Eastover, $394; Gilbert, $120; Irmo, $196; Leesville, $1,016, and West Columbia, $3,060.
