Noah Anderson Of Ridgeway Dies
Noah Anderson, 90, retired farmer and policeman of Ridgeway, died early yesterday afternoon at a rest home in Columbia after a four-week illness.
He was a native of Charlotte, N. C., and was a member of the Aimwell Presbyterian Church at Ridgeway.
Mr. Anderson was a town policeman at Ridgeway for a number of years before his retirement.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lavenia Branham Anderson; four daughters, Mrs. J. R. Graff of New York City, Miss Jessie L. Anderson of Columbia, Mrs. H. K. Herlong of Manning and Mrs. Sadie Youngblood of Ridgeway; two son, T. D. Anderson of Mullins and J. O. Anderson of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Estelle Harper of York; one brother, Oscar Anderson of Belmont, N. C.; ten grandchildren; and three great-granchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 this afternoon from the Aimwell Presbyterian Church by the pastor, the Rev. Joe Beale, and the Rev. F. C. Debele, Jr. Burial will follow int he Smyrna Methodist Church Cemetery near Ridgeway.
Active pallbearers will be J. H. McGill, J. W. Milling, Ellis Perry, R. W. Thomas, R. B. Jones and J. N. Crompton.
Honorary pallbearers wil be officers of Aimwell Presbyterian Church.
All pallbearer will meet at the church at 3:15. The body is at the Paschal Funeral Home.
