Mrs. Mamie Kelly Peake, 78, of Blaney, widow of Charnel Peake, died at 10 o’clock last night, September 19, 1958 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Sunday at Sawyners Creek Baptist Creek by the Rev. J. D. Atkinson. Burial will be in Smyrna Churchyard.
Surviving are five sons, Albert Peake, Marvin Peake, William Peake, and Jimmy Peake of Blaney, and Charnel Peake of Columbia; four daughters, Mrs. Luther Kelly of Munroe, N. C., Mrs. Lenora Irvin of Columbia, and Misses Eva and Pauline Peake of Columbia; 25 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren: two brothers, Manas Kelly of Blaney and William Kelly of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. D. F. Torrence of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. G. L. Wooten of Cheraw, and Mrs. Lizzie Rose of Columbia.
Active pallbearers will be six grandsons; Ivey Kelly, Larry Kelly, Earl Kelly, Collie Peake, Tommy Peake, and Charlie Peake.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Sawyners Creek, and Dr. Robert Cochran and David Atkinson.
The body will remain at Boney’s Funeral Home in Blythewood until the hour of service.
