Samuel Deal “D.K.” Keith was born January 31, 1904, in Kershaw County, South Carolina, a son of Luther Washington Keith and Endora M. Kelly Keith.

On September 11, 1950, Deal Keith was listed as a living brother in the obituary of Earl Keith.
1959
SUMTER (Special) – Deal (“D. K.”) Keith, 57, died at his home here Saturday, September 19, 1959, after an illness of several years.
Mr. Keith was born in Kershaw County, a son of the late Luther Keith and Dora Kelly Keith. He owned and operated the Keith Automobile Repair and Wrecking Service here for many years, having discontinued his business several years ago because of failing health.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Bradley Keith; one son Luther Kieth of Sumter; two grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Keith of Lugoff and Abney Keith of Blaney; two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Gibson of Hamlet, N. C., and Mrs. Carl Harmon of Knoxville, Tenn.
Funeral Services will be conducted from the chapel of the Shelley-Brunson Funeral Home at 4 o’clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. C. D. Williams. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
